Donate your gently used clothes
Earn up to $50CAD in Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
COMPLETE THESE STEPS IN ORDER
1. Choose a charity from the list below.
2. Look through your closet for clothes that fit charity's needs/guidelines.
3. Write down the total number of items you are donating (you'll need this later).
4. Take one photo of the clothes before bagging them (first photo).
5. Place clothes into LARGE CLEAR plastic bags (recommended brand and size) and attach the COINS 4 CLOTHES logo (download here) on each bag with today's date. Bags should be no smaller than 70L. Using bags smaller than 70 L may impact amount of BCH received.
6.Take a photo of your clothes all bagged up (second photo).
7. Donate the clothes to the charity, ensuring you take photographs of yourself dropping the bags off at the charity site (third photo).
8. If you don't have a BCH wallet already, download and install the Bitcoin.com wallet by following our guide here.
9. Complete the submission form below.
10. Get paid in Bitcoin Cash (BCH)*
*We will reward you with $10 CAD in Bitcoin Cash (BCH) for every large clear plastic bag full of clothes, up to a maximum of $50 CAD (5 bags) per donation visit. You will also earn $5 CAD in BCH if you tweet about your donation experience (with photos or videos). Ensure you tag @Coins4Clothes and use the hashtags: #Coins4Clothes #BCH #BitcoinCash

APPROVED VANCOUVER CHARITIES
The YWCA provides services to women including low income, single mothers and their families. The YWCA offers a broad range of services ranging from legal education, violence prevention services, employment programs and youth education programs.
They also assist women in meeting their as well as their children's basic clothing and toiletry needs.
New and gently used children's clothing including outerwear, bags, shoes and accessories. You may also donate children's books as well. No adult clothing accepted. No used undergarments accepted under any circumstance.

All items listed above can be dropped off Monday to Friday between 11 am – 3 pm

Downtown Eastside Women's Centre
The Downtown Eastside (DTES) as a neighbourhood is well-known within Vancouver and even across Canada for its disproportionate levels of poverty and extreme marginalization. Home to many vulnerable populations including those who are homeless, mentally ill, and/or with addictions, it is also a place known for its creativity, community activism, and tenacity in the face of tremendous stigma.
Women's clothing including office and work appropriate clothing. Like new bras are also accepted. Child and baby clothes are NOT accepted. Seasonal items are always in high demand (i.e. snow pants and coats in the winter). New socks and new underwear are always appreciated as well.
Drop off Hours:
Note: This is a Women's only facility and as such, men wishing to donate cannot enter the facility (however can drop donations at the door after ringing the door bell and informing staff). You must still take photos of yourself with the donations in front of the centre to be eligible for BCH reward.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 10 am-12 pm, 2-4.30 pm
Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday: 2-4.30 pm
Located at 302 Columbia St, on the corner of Cordova St: the grey unmarked door underneath the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre sign. There is street parking available on Columbia St. and Cordova St. as well as a parkade on Cordova. If you cannot find parking right next to the Centre, come in and ask staff to assist you in bringing your donation inside. We have a trolley we can use for larger donations.

DRESS FOR SUCCESS VANCOUVER
Dress for Success is a charity that provides women with professional work attire for job interviews and beginning careers.
This unique service offers referred clients a one-on-one appointment with a trained Image Consultant. Clients are assisted to select a professional wardrobe that fits well, suits their individual style, and gives them the confidence to make a good first impression on job interviews or when starting a new career.
Women's professional and work appropriate semi-formal and formal clothes. Suits, blazers, blouses, professional cardigans and sweaters, belts, professional shoes and heels, dress shirts, dresses, scarves, outer coats and spring jackets, unopened hosiery and hygiene products. Please ensure all clothes are dry cleaned/pressed/neatly folded and free of lint. Please ensure all clothing donated is current (no older than 3 years).

Thursdays 1:00pm - 7:00pm
Saturdays 10:00am - 12:30pm
All clothing donations must be brought in through the back door of the building, located off Granville Street between West Hastings and West Cordova. Please buzz #0100 at the keypad and take the elevator to the Mezzanine level. A team member will meet you there. There are two parking spots in the lane way which allow 15 minutes for unloading.
