Donate your gently used clothes
Earn up to $50 CAD in Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
COMPLETE THESE STEPS IN ORDER
1. Choose a charity from the list below.
2. Look through your closet for clothes that fit charity's needs/guidelines.
3. Write down the total number of items you are donating (you'll need this later).
4. Take one photo of the clothes before bagging them (first photo).
5. Place clothes into LARGE CLEAR plastic bags (recommended brand and size) and attach the COINS 4 CLOTHES logo (download here) on each bag with today's date. Bags should be no smaller than 90L. Using bags smaller than 90 L may impact amount of BCH received.
6.Take a photo of your clothes all bagged up (second photo).
7. Donate the clothes to the charity, ensuring you take photographs of yourself dropping the bags off at the charity site (third photo).
8. If you don't have a BCH wallet already, download and install the Bitcoin.com wallet by following our guide here.
9. Complete the submission form below.
10. Get paid in Bitcoin Cash (BCH)*
Note: You need 3 photo proofs when submitting your form:
photo before bagging clothes
photo after bagging them and taping Coins 4 Clothes logo/date
photo of you donating clothes at the charity site.
*We will reward you with $10 CAD in Bitcoin Cash (BCH) for every large clear plastic bag full of clothes, up to a maximum of $50 CAD (5 bags) per donation visit. ELEMENTS CALGARY MENTAL HEALTH CENTRE
Elements Calgary provides confidential and non-judgmental support to over 1,200 Calgarians annually who are challenged with mental illnesses. In addition to the illness they they may also be dealing with issues such as poverty, unemployment, stigma and social isolation.
Elements Calgary provides a space where one can improve their skills and enhance their capabilities for living, learning, working and socializing in the community. Services include counselling, crisis prevention , recreation opportunities, as well as life skills programs, money management classes, creative arts as well as support groups for mental health, addictions and hoarding.
Elements also runs a clothing program for their clients called the “Looking Good, Feeling Good” program, which provides donated men's and women's clothing to their clients free of charge. You can support Elements' clothing program by donating to their charity. Details are below.
New and gently used men's and women's clothing including outerwear, bags, professional clothes, shoes and accessories. Do not donate any soiled or damaged items. Seasonal items such as coats, hats, and boots in the winter, or shorts / short sleeves in the summer are most appreciated.

Monday - Friday : 8:30 am - Noon , 1:00 pm -4:30 pm
Access the Calgary drop off door at the rear of the building by entering the alley between 7 and 8 AVE and 9 and 10 ST SW. The door is on the North side of the alley, ring the doorbell and someone will help you bring your donations into the building

CALGARY DROP IN CENTRE
The Calgary Drop in Centre provides shelter, housing, and wrap-around supports to Calgary’s most vulnerable people — those experiencing homelessness and those struggling through extreme poverty.
Offering more than 50 different programs and services, the centre strives to meet people wherever they are, and help them get to wherever it is they want to go. Whether that means a couple of meals and a place to sleep at night, finding access to much needed government assistance, or a goal to find permanent supportive housing, the Calgary Drop-In Centre is where many lives begin.
Some examples of services offered include: Free computers for low income individuals, employment and training support, medical services and harm reduction, meal services and a free clothing store.
New and gently used Men's/Women's clothing including office and work appropriate clothing (i.e. suites, construction gear). Used underwear/swimsuit bottoms are not accepted under any circumstance. NEW socks and NEW underwear are always appreciated. Seasonal items are always in high demand (i.e. snow pants and coats in the winter).

The Mustard Seed Calgary
The Mustard Seed in Calgary has been providing individuals experiencing homelessness with food, shelter, and pastoral service since the 1980s.
The Mustard Seed meets the immediate needs of those experiencing homelessness and poverty by providing emergency shelter, food, clothing, hot showers, and hygiene supplies. The Foothills Shelter has capacity for 370 adults every night, offering transportation to and from the Downtown Support Centre, personal locker storage, meal service, and bagged lunches for those who are employed. The Downtown Support Centre offers services, including employment support, spiritual care, mailboxes, food, clothing, etc.
New and gently used men's/women's clothing including sleeping bags, boots and toques. Clothing accepted for the employment services program include: work boots, construction pants (i.e. Dickies), saftey glasses. NEW underwear and NEW socks are also appreciated. Used underwear/swimsuit bottoms are not accepted under any circumstance. Seasonal items are always in high demand (i.e. snow pants and coats in the winter). WOMEN IN NEED SOCIETY
WINS (Women In Need Society) is a thrift charity founded in 1992 to provide basic needs to women an their families experiencing poverty.
WINS currently operates five thrift stores, which provide women and their families who are financially disadvantaged, coming out of crisis situations, transitioning to housing, newcomers to Canada or those who have fallen on difficult times with free basic clothing services. The goal is to help women set up a stable home for themselves and their families by providing them with basic necessities such as clothing and household goods.
Donated goods are also sold at the thrift stores, providing revenue to support WINS' Free Goods Referral Program and four Family Resource Centres. WINS also provides a deeply subsidized furniture delivery service to their clients, helping them transform their house into a HOME.
When you donate your clothing to WINS, your are helping support some of Calgary's most vulnerable women and families.
Contemporary new and gently used Men's/Women's/Chilldren's/Baby clothing including office and work appropriate clothing including shoes and accessories. Seasonal clothing such as overcoats and winter boots in the winter are always in high demand. Children /Baby toys are also accepted. Used underwear/swimsuit bottoms are not accepted under any circumstance.
Please ensure all donations are:
in good working condition
free of stains, rips, pet hair and other damage
not missing any parts or components
Drop off Hours:
Donations can be dropped off at any one of the the WINS thrift stores across Calgary.
Although WINS provides a pick up service, we are currently not sponsoring donors who use this service. To be eligible for a BCH reward, please only donate your clothes to one of the following thrift stores (click for list).
